Big Buck's secured his third consecutive World Hurdle crown with yet another imperious performance at the 2011 Cheltenham Festival.
Sent off a 10/11 favourite the Paul Nicholls' inmate shadowed the pacesetters for most of the race, whilst being stalked by nearest rival Grands Crus, who had been an emphatic winner of the Cleeve Hurdle earlier in the season.
However, Ruby Walsh let his mount kick on turning for home and even though Tom Scudamore aboard Grands Crus followed him, Big Buck's superior engine saw him get the better of the David Pipe-trained grey in the final furlong to win comfortably and notch up a hat-trick of wins.
Grands Crus was gallant in defeat and was not disgraced to finish second, whilst Mourad performed admirably for the Irish to finish third in the three mile event.
